How small can the diameter lead of a miniature ball screw be?

Miniature ball screws usually refer to ball screws with a diameter less than 12 mm, and have high precision and high requirements for details.

Micro ball screws, because different ball screw materials are different, the application range is very different from that of machine tool screws. We often encounter various customer requirements during the production process. Generally, there is a sealing ring inside the ball screw, and the material is generally polytetrafluoroethylene. The inverter is available in plastic and metal.

The common nominal diameter specifications of miniature ball screws are 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm, and the commonly used leads are 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, and 2mm. The internal thread raceway of the micro screw is ground. Micro screw has the advantages of high precision and long service life.

Miniature ball screws are ideal for compact, high-performance designs that operate at high speeds with low friction and minimize subsequent maintenance requirements. These silent-running rolling elements are strong and durable, can withstand light to moderate radial and thrust loads, and are available in a variety of types and designs. Available in stainless steel, with seals or dust caps, and with a variety of lubrication options.
